Julia Craighill moderated two panels this month. Business leaders and an environmental lawyer discussed How Vital is Corporate Responsibility? at the Robert H Jackson Center in Jamestown, NY. For USGBC-NCR, an accomplished panel of building professionals presented and fielded audience questions in Session 1 of a series on existing buildings entitled Starting to Green Existing Buildings: How to Conduct Assessments and Build a Financial Case to Green Existing Buildings.

Julia Craighill authored Improving Environmental Performance: Local Lessons from an International Standard for My Green Montgomery. Julia’s interviews with each business revealed the company’s challenges and successes that resulted from implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS).

Julia is thrilled to lead a USGBC-NCR committee for another year. This year it will be the Existing Building Task Force and her co-chair is Smita Chandra Thomas.
